It has been a while since I last wrote. Occasionally, I still jot down some things on my phone's notepad, but they are too private. After not writing for such a long time, suddenly writing again feels inevitable.
I am currently in Guiyang, a city I have never been to before. I bought a plane ticket that includes an airport hotel. There is a flyover bridge next to the hotel, and there is a late-night snack shop on the other side, selling hot pot noodles. It left me speechless, it was so delicious.
The night before boarding the plane, Katz, Shuyi, and I were at HillyFields, tripping on mushrooms. Shuyi was originally at home, but she came after eating and called for help. In front of this rookie from the desert, I had to become an experienced driver, constantly stepping on the brakes and not indulging in my trip. Fortunately, there were many stars, and the darkness was beautiful.
The day before mushrooms, I went to Camden to meet K. When I arrived at his house, he was playing Sun Ra's Disco 3000. K continued to stuff various delicious foods into my stomach as always. It was raining that day, and the hail outside the window bounced in. I brought my iPad and found an old patch to create a summery sound. When K saw me off, we went to a nearby bar, and he was already happily drunk when we left.
RYOSUKE KIYASU + BREATHING HEAVY (SAM ANDREAE / CIARAN MACKLE) + OISHI was a performance at Cafe Oto on August 21st. Originally, Zhenghao and I were supposed to go see Deerhoof that day. I had bought tickets for this performance a long time ago, and in the end, I chose the performance over seeing Deerhoof. Personally, I think Oishi has matured a bit compared to before, and is more controlling. Secretly hoping that maturity doesn't mean getting old.
Next, my friends and I met at Shirkers on the second floor for a drink. I brought a mini speaker because Joseph and Ben volunteered to perform for us, but their equipment was bigger than the speaker, which was very cute. Before the performance, I video called Katz watching the sunset by the beach, while also watching the performance. That day, I taught everyone a Chinese phrase and recorded it. I will test them on it next year. I received a few special gifts and really liked them.

In the morning, I dreamt of going to a small exhibition on the side of the road in Lewisham and getting free food. Just as I finished washing my face and entered, my dad woke me up to have breakfast. Today, I will pack my bags and tomorrow I will go sightseeing in my beautiful homeland.
